(More added after lunch walk.)
At least our shoot for today was cancelled. Yesterday's shoot happened, though it got moved to the morning in the hopes that we would be done before things got bad. And we were. This first photo is from the walk home from that shoot. It took about an hour to walk from Allston to Fenway because of needing to do penguin walking in order to stay upright.
Last night walking the dog I took this one. Snow was coming but it wasn't feeling like a blizzard yet.
And then here's the same bike again this morning. We got some snow over night.
On Wednesday or so our prof sent around an email warning that they might close the school on Friday so we should get our gear for the weekend out on Thursday instead. We had shoots scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. While I was up at 6:00 checking the email to see if he had cancelled I took this out my window.
The guy for today is scrambling now to find a time when the actors can reschedule. But he was right to cancel, no one would have managed to show up.
An hour later of course Blue wanted to go for a walk. I was apparently the first one up and out this morning. That's looking out the front door. It was knee deep in spots.
I carried Blue out to the street.
There's nothing like a brisk walk in deep snow to wake you up. As I can spend most of the day sitting in bed with the dog and the laptop and a cuppa and just get work done I think it'll be a good day. I may add more pictures as the day goes on, especially if I go out with my real camera rather than just my phone.
After lunch the snow has stopped falling. It's still a bit windy and drifting, but much nicer. And everyone is out now messing around. There's a couple of snowmen there in the soccer field.
People were starting to dig out their cars. I think they're crazy. Where do they plan on going? And it's an awful lot of work when the cars start out looking like this.
Finally, here's that bike again. One wonders why they didn't put it in their basement before the storm.
we really like the last photo. All you need is to add a few Maurice Prendergast people :)
ReplyDeleteIs that a driving road with no cars parked on it?
Blue out on the street is our access road where usually everyone parks and the only driving really is to get to parking. They've got emergency parking in the garages for the duration of the storm though. Hope they get this all cleared out enough for us to park once they lift the ban.
