Heading into my last week in Boston

Shh... I'll be back.

It does feel a bit weird though. And it's going to be a crazy, hectic week. We start shooting Aaron's film on Monday. I'm ready as far as my own job goes. Aaron is ready as far as directing and performance stuff goes. But his DP has put together shot lists that are a bit all over the map. I can see what she was doing with it, but it isn't really useful, especially for our 1st AD who has to make the day by day schedules based on that list. So we've got a little work to do tomorrow reining things in. And my job for today was talking Janice (the 1st) off the ledge. She was pulling out her hair trying to find a way to make it all work.

I've been mostly not looking at Ghost Tours much these days. I don't have any time to focus.

I am 90% packed. Maybe 85%. Enough for the moment anyway.

I have found a place to live in Maine. An unfurnished 2 bedroom house in Rockport that Claire and I will share. And when I say I found I really mean Claire found. This is very good news because A) it's close to work B) Claire reports it's cute C) I can move in as soon as I arrive instead of needing to wait until the 7/1 and D) I can bring all my stuff instead of needing to rent a storage unit. Because let me tell you, the whole storage unit thing was a big fiasco - total bait and switch on prices from the company. I am very happy to be done with that. I've made a reservation for a 10 foot truck and trailer to tow my car next weekend. And I'll have plenty of help at this end getting the truck loaded.

Oh, and my house is selling. It's under contract. They did the home inspection yesterday. If all goes well the closing will be on or before July 11th. Well, before. Everyone I know in DC will be out of town on the 11th and I need someone to give power of attorney to because I can't get down for the closing.

  1. Woo Hoo!!! That was quick, but then there isn't much on the market in that price range. And yeah, I'll be out of town too....
