Circle of Confusion

Thanksgiving has come and gone and now the mad sprint to the end of the semester commences. Tomorrow we have our first final. None of my professors put their finals in finals week to save us from having to do everything at once. Guess what.

So here's what I have left to do in the order it is due:

  1. Production exam* (11/26)
  2. Rough cut of Killer (11/28)
  3. Memorize monologue for acting (11/28)
  4. 3,000 word paper about Medium Cool** (11/29)
  5. Critique last 3 scripts (12/3)
  6. Report on Shear Madness (12/5)
  7. Masterworks final (12/6)
  8. Killer final review (12/10)
  9. Ghost Tours script finished (12/10)
  10. 1 page pitch sheets for Ghost Tours and Killer (12/10) Well, not done exactly, just no longer required.
  11. 1 page new exercise for acting (12/11)
  12. Final revisions to Killer (12/13)
  13. Semester end screening (12/17)

* All 5 of us sat around Jason's apartment studying for the production final today. It's a short answer test so we kept throwing out questions like: What is the circle of confusion. Best answer: The five of us right now. The answer Charles is probably looking for: the diameter of a point of light at the moment when it loses critical focus. It has to do with measuring depth of field.

** This is the thing I am currently most worried about. I've been thinking a lot about it, but really need to start some actual writing.

I actually enjoyed our little study session. With only 5 of us there was a real need for all of us to get along. If someone had been obnoxious it would have made the whole thing unbearable. But we get along very well. I like the guys. Everyone is willing to pull their weight. Everyone is supportive. There's no one you're sort of hoping doesn't show up for stuff.

  1. Well, there were a couple of questions I wasn't positive about. One that was, ooh I don't know. And a couple I wasn't sure what he was going for. But it's done now. Good enough.

Onward to an afternoon of watching Medium Cool and writing a 'deep contextual analysis' about it.
