who wants more sunsets?

I was rather productive today so I rewarded myself with a trip to Rock Harbor for the hour before sunset. The tide was outbound when we arrived there was still water up to the regular beach. But if you went around the back way and waded through 4 inches of water there was a little island sand bar. Louis had no interested in 4 inches of water. "Oh my god mom don't make me get my paws wet!!!!!" (Trust me, I speak dog.) So I picked him up and carried him out there because then I could let him run all he wanted. He made lots of friends and I took lots of pictures.

I tried to get video of Louis running like a mad thing, but I swear he knew. Every time I pointed the camera at him he laid down.

So that little bit of sand you see peeking out became an island after 10 minutes. And when we were ready to leave Louis could walk right out.

The daily show gets a good crowd.

For the non-family who read the blog, the trees are marking the path for the boats to get in to the harbor.

I was petting the dog and turned around and went "ohhhh"

He held still for all of a second and a half.
Oh yeah, the fox started calling while I was writing this up and it reminded me. I sort of managed a picture. They've been quiet lately, I thought maybe they were done with the mating and moved onto kit rearing.
