In the meantime, Scully, Aaron and I got together to play around with the dolly and the jib tonight. We want the dolly for the first shot so we tried it a few times. The first section of this video is the best of those. Then we did it again with a bit of a lighting test. We don't have Sarah's lantern yet, but we want it to be a warm light so that the lighting for the ghosts is neutral and then Sarah brings warmth with her. Then there's a couple tries with the jib. Mostly we're looking for what angles and movement we like then once we decide what we want we'll practice it a bunch until we can do it smoothly. We want it for when the tours are crowded in listening to Esther on her step giving her talk.
(No sound on the video)
Got my approval from Risk Management today, but then only traded voice mails and emails with the location guy so no actual progress yet. And we've lost the actor playing Tim. Very sad, but when you're not paying people that can happen. At least he gave plenty of notice. Got a couple of recommendations, so hopefully it'll work out in the end. Well, it will, one way or another. We'll find someone.
