Kind of a blah day until the sunset. We picked up takeout from Kate's and then drove up to Paines Creek to eat and take photos.
Which is to say, go back far enough and my posts are about being a film student. And now I'm a film teacher.

Walking the dog in both directions
Last night I went back toward the conservation area and took some sunset pictures near the Bells Neck bridge. Today I walked down to the ocean.

Social Distancing on Cold Storage Beach

Sunset at Skaket Beach
Right now I am healthy, and frankly I've been practicing social distancing for the last 3 months, but now that everyone has Pandemic Anxiety remaining healthy becomes even more important. So today I took a two pronged approach. To keep myself physically healthy I spent most of the afternoon cooking healthy stuff to put in the freezer in case I get unlucky and end up quarantined. And then I took care of my mental health and took Louis to the beach for sunset.

Moonrise
I needed to get out of the house, and the full moon was rising just at sunset, so I went to the beach. (If you want to see more house photos, I've added some to the previous post.)
It's that beach on 28 just at the Chatham/Harwich town line, just where you think Harwich shouldn't be. It was not really the best choice. See how the land rises to the right? Oops. |

The house - during
Well, there were 3 guys from about 8 to 4 working on removing wallpaper and at 4 they hadn't quite finished the living room. 3 more guys showed up then. The living room is now stripped, the hallway is half done, and the bedroom isn't started. I suspect they thought they could do all the wallpaper in one day. If I had known they wouldn't get to it I would not have stripped the bed. Oh well. I will just live in the office for the weekend.
The house - Before
The guys are about to come. I've prepped the house as well as I can by myself. I'll be excited to show you the after pictures. Goodness we had more stuff than I was expecting. Oldest magazine award goes to the 1973 edition of Cape Cod Compass. I kept that one. But in spite of what you see in the two "storage" rooms, I purged an awful lot. It's very freeing.
The place looks so much bigger without all the extra furniture. |
